Lukasiewicz Research Network – Tele and Radio Research Institute, in cooperation with Micro Machining Laboratory, Taipei Tech has started implementation of Project No. 0003/PLTW7/S1/2019 titled “Study of surface modification process and electron beam micro-welding on a small-size experimental bench” within the framework of the Program – Poland-Taiwan Cooperation (bilateral projects), effective 01/04/2020.
Project Objective:
The aim of the research project is to develop an experimental small-size surface treatment and electron beam (WE) micro-welding device. It also aims to study the process of surface modification, to study the welding of various materials including small components or medical devices, and to study the mechanisms of hole hollowing.
Micro-ECM or EDM technologies, combined with EC technology, are expected to make both countries the technological leader in non-traditional micro-machining technologies in the world.
