A seminar organized by the Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute by the Department of Solid Fuels Quality Assessment was held in Katowice on November 13, 2024. The event brought together nearly 100 participants, including experts and industry leaders, to discuss the challenges and opportunities of energy transition and the closed-loop economy.
The main topic of the seminar was:
“Qualitative analysis of solid fuels in light of the energy transition and the goals of a circular economy (coal, solid biofuels, solid secondary fuels).”
The event featured a presentation by Lukasz Grotkowski, Leader of the Electrothermal Research Group, representing the Lukasiewicz – Tele and Radio Research Network. His lecture, entitled “Łukasiewicz – ITR in the Era of Decarbonization,” presented innovative research to support sustainable mining and the implementation of digital technologies in the mining industry.
