On February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, female scientists from the Lukasiewicz Research Network had a unique opportunity to share their passion and inspire the youngest listeners on the air of Polish Radio Kids!
Dr. Katarzyna Kolacz of the Lukasiewicz Institute of Tele- and Radio Technology and Dominika Niewczas of the Lukasiewicz Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics talked about their work, breakthrough technologies and why it is important to develop scientific curiosity from an early age.
Can the world of science be fascinating? Of course! Our experts revealed the behind-the-scenes of research work and showed how modern technologies affect our daily lives. The broadcast was full of inspiring stories, encouraging girls and boys to experiment, ask questions and dare to reach for their dreams – because science is for everyone!

Hosted PW students at lecture on printed circuits
On January 17, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting 5th year students of the Faculty of Materials Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology at the headquarters of Lukasiewicz – Institute of Tele and Radio Engineering. The event included a lecture entitled “Printed circuits with integrated structure and hybrid design – new opportunities”, conducted by our experts:
- PhD Sc. Eng. Dariusz Ostaszewski – Head of the Laboratory of Printed Circuits and Electronic Assembly
- PhD Sc. Eng. Wojciech Stęplewski – Leader of the Printed Circuit Technologies and Assembly Research Group
The event was organized as part of the activities of the Microelectronics and Photonics Competence Center, implemented with support from the National Reconstruction Plan.
