The Center for Specialized Electronics Technologies is a newly established organizational unit within the structure of the Łukasiewicz – Tele and Radio Research Institute, whose mission is to develop advanced electronic technologies intended for special-purpose and high-reliability applications. The Center focuses on the design, manufacturing, and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies used across multiple sectors of the economy and national security.
The structure of the Center includes: the Research Group for Specialized Electronics Technologies and the Laboratory of Printed Circuit Boards and Electronic Assembly. These units conduct research and development activities and implement industrial projects related to modern PCB technologies, the assembly of electronic components, and the analysis of the quality and reliability of electronic systems.
Among the developments are multilayer and specialized printed circuit boards, technologies for the assembly of electronic components, as well as new materials and solutions for printed electronics.
Solutions developed at the Center are applied in many strategic sectors, in particular in industrial electronics, automotive, aviation, the space sector, telecommunications, energy, and military and defense systems. The Institute also implements prototype and short-series projects for industrial partners, research institutions, and the security sector, including solutions used in satellite technologies and radio systems.
The Center develops high-density interconnect (HDI) technologies, multilayer PCB structures, flexible and rigid-flex circuits, as well as solutions designed to operate in harsh environmental conditions such as high temperatures, vibrations, or space radiation. Material research, reliability analyses, and quality testing of electronic systems are also carried out.
The Acting Director of the Center for Specialized Electronics Technologies is Dr. Eng. Wojciech Stęplewski.
