Project title: “Development and construction of a modular mobile natural gas distribution station for simultaneous distribution of LNG and LCNG.”

Project Objective:

The aim of the project is to develop and manufacture a modular mobile station for natural gas distribution, allowing simultaneous distribution of LNG and LCNG – a station of this kind is not available on the world market for the cleanest fossil fuels. The new, innovative type of mobile modular station will be created thanks to advanced ICT technologies developed at Ł-ITR. The use of the developed prefabricated mobile technological modules in combination with advanced ICT techniques will enable the creation of a product and process innovation with the characteristics of a world novelty. The above-mentioned solutions will allow rapid production of components at the stationary plant and their delivery to the site by truck. The ability to build ready-to-install stations for LNG and LCNG distribution, at the manufacturing plant, allows accelerating the supply chain of finished facilities of this type and implementing them at existing liquid fuel stations. This will provide an opportunity to fill the huge gap in the availability of alternative fuels such as LNG and LCNG. The proposed solution addresses the problems of expanding refueling infrastructure, which is in line with the Law on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels. The number of LNG and LCNG stations in Poland will increase. The law imposes an obligation to increase the use of alternative fuels – LNG and LCNG, and specifies in which cities and how many LCNG refueling points should be built in the near future. The main reasons for the increase in interest in these fuels are the diversification of energy sources, much lower particulate emissions and favorable prices for fuels supplied to the LNG terminal in Swinoujscie. The technologies and modules developed, will allow the consortium leader to reach production capacity of 5-10 stations per year in the near future. This will accelerate the implementation of alternative fuels in Polish transport, increase Poland’s energy security and enable the development of domestic technological thought.
