The Vacuum Technology Research and Measurement Laboratory holds an Accreditation Certificate issued by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA), confirming the competence of the reference laboratory.
The primary activity of the Laboratory is the performance of calibrations for pressure measurements in the range below atmospheric pressure (vacuum) and the measurement of parameters of devices operating under vacuum conditions.
Within the scope of accreditation, the Laboratory provides the following services:
- calibration of vacuum gauges and absolute pressure transducers,
- calibration of reference helium leak standards.
In addition, outside the scope of accreditation, the Laboratory offers:
- leak tightness testing (leak detection) of vacuum elements or subassemblies,
calibration of vacuum gauges and absolute pressure transducers.
Calibration of vacuum gauges and absolute pressure transducers is performed using reference vacuum gauges calibrated by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Berlin. The reference vacuum gauges hold valid calibration certificates issued by PTB.
Calibration of vacuum gauges in the pressure range from 10⁵ to 10¹ Pa and calibration of absolute pressure transducers in the range from 10⁹ to 10⁵ hPa are performed in a static system, whereas calibration of vacuum gauges in the pressure range from 10¹ to 10⁻⁶ Pa is performed in a dynamic gas flow system.
Calibration of reference helium leak standards.
Measurements of the helium leak rate from reference leaks are performed in the range of 10⁻⁵ to 10⁻¹⁰ Pa·m³/s using a reference vacuum gauge calibrated and certified by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Berlin.
