Our research work includes, among others:
- Development of methods for the selection of piezoceramic transducers as well as methods for diagnostics, monitoring, and ultrasonic testing of vibrating systems.
- Development of technologies for ultrasonic welding and cutting of plastics and metals, as well as high-performance cutting processes.
- Optymalizacji procesów oczyszczania ultradźwiękowego z zastosowaniem proekologicznych mediów oczyszczających
- Development of ultrasonic riveting technology.
- Development of a new generation of ultrasonic welding systems – Sonic Welder – for Industry 4.0, consisting of the following components:
- Sonic Blaster generators
- Sonic Converter transducers
- Sonic Booster amplifiers
- Sonic Horn sonotrodes
The ultrasonic systems developed by us have been applied, among others, by leading manufacturers of welding installations (TWEETOP Sp. z o.o.), construction profiles (VICPLAST), and batteries and fuel cells (CubeCell Sp. z o.o.).
Modern ultrasonic systems designed for Industry 4.0 are fully developed and implemented at the Institute. They are based on advanced numerical modeling and analysis, including 3D modeling and numerical MES/FEM analysis. The solutions applied are protected by numerous patents and have been awarded at international trade fairs (Innova Barcelona 2017).
