We are conducting the following research in magnetic technologies:
manufacturing technologies for soft magnetic composites using iron powder welding with plastics;
manufacturing technologies for composite permanent magnets (bonded magnets) using welding of hard magnetic powders from Nd-Fe-B alloys with plastics;
examination of physical (magnetic, mechanical, electrical and thermal) properties of magnetic components;
magnetisation of two- and multi-pole permanent magnets with variable magnetic pole configuration;
3D simulation and analysis of electromagnetic field in electrical machinery and equipment using Maxwell 15 software;
application of powder magnetic components in electrical machinery and other electromagnetic and electromechanical transducers.
Our process devices:
hydraulic press with pressure up to 3,000 kN;
furnace with temperature up to 1,300°C;
drier with temperature up to 250°C;
laboratory mills;
high-voltage pulse magnetisers;
toroidal winding machine.
Our measuring instruments:
hysteresis meter for measuring permanent magnet properties within a temperature range of -25°C to 20°C;
hysteresis meter manufactured by Laboratorio Elettrofisico Engineering (Italy):
for measuring permanent magnet properties within a temperature range of 20°C to approx. 200°C;
for measuring properties of soft magnetic composites for AC and DC applications with a frequency of up to 20 kHz within a temperature range of 20°C to 200°C and at liquid nitrogen temperature (-195.8°C);
hysteresis meter for measuring permanent magnet properties at liquid nitrogen temperature (-195.8°C);
measurement station for testing operating parameters of small-sized electrical machinery;
Instron universal testing machine with 100 kN range for testing material mechanical properties (shear strength, bending strength and tensile strength) within a temperature range of -73°C to 315°C;
Brinell hardness tester;
station for electrical resistivity measurement;
F.W. Bell Gauss meter for magnetic induction measurement with 2 T range for permanent and variable fields up to 10 kHz;
Norma electronic fluxmeter for magnetic flux measurement;
station for material thermal conductivity testing;
Software:
Maxwell 15 and Opera 3D ver. 10.5 for 3D simulation and analysis of electromagnetic field distribution in electrical machinery and equipment and for the determination of their operating parameters.
